BridgeClip®
is designed to secure 1 1/2" BridgeBar or cold- rolled channel (CRC)to light
gauge steel studs.For a 3 5/8" BridgeClip® installation,one or three screws
will be required as per design loads. For the 6" BC600 and 8" BC800
four screws are required for the installation of each clip. BridgeClip®
series products are packaged in buckets for easy handling. Screws not included.
Our
BC600 and BC800 secure 1 1/2"cold-rolled channel (CRC)to
a stud in order to resist lateral and twisting loads. Tabs on the bottom of
BC600 and BC800 clamp on the CRC,while #10 screws attach clips to the channel
and stud through pre-drilled guide holes. Efficient installation is not the
only benefit,as BridgeClip® is engineered to accommodate greater loads the generic
L2x2x16ga. BC600 & BC800 are sized to stiffen the web of 6" and
8" stud depths.
BridgeBar
is available in two sizes to accommodate 3/4" and 1 1/2" stud knockouts. Each
piece is 52" long. There are 216.67 linear feet in each box of BB75 & BB150,which
builds 200 feet of wall. top

StiffWall
shear walls are designed to provide both lateral strength and lateral stiffness.
Lateral strength is needed to resist horizontal loads due to wind and earthquake
forces. Properly designed and constructed shear walls transfer horizontal other
shear walls, floors, or foundations. Lateral Stiffness needed to prevent the
floors and roof from excessive side sway. When sheer walls are stiff enough, they
will prevent floor and roof framing members from moving off their supports.
In addition, buildings with sufficient lateral stiffness will suffer less non-structural
damage further avoiding long-term degradation due to cracking and water infiltration.
Stiffwall is manufactured to deliver the performance specifications of
the designer. Each component in the pre-assembled Stiffwall is selected
to meet or exceed both strength and stiffness requirements. The Steel Network
has optimized the design and fabrication of StiffWall through a series
of both component and full-scale wall assemblies, using state-of-the-art techniques
to measure performance. Simple connections are recommended to prevent sliding
and uplift resistance. Stiffwall is designed to carry loads concentrically
from the point of applied loads to the foundation or other termination point.
Unlike sheathing and strapping braced walls where loads transfer eccentrically,
Stiffwall provides a concentric load path system. top
