Architectural Access R-TPS Floor Access Door

USF Fabrication Inc. R-Series, Architectural Access, Floor Access Doors Work on Carpet, Tile, and Concrete. R-TPS model is 1" Recessed, Trough Frame, Pedestrian, Single Cover Flush installation in new cast-in-concrete applications, reinforced for 300 pounds per square foot (psf) loading.

Standard Specifications:

The recessed, trough frame floor access door shall be Model R-TPS as manufactured by U.S.F. Fabrication, Inc. with the size being specified on the plans.

Cover: 1/4-inch (6.4mm) aluminum diamond plate cover reinforced for 300 psf (1465 kg/m2) live load and have a 1-inch (25mm) recess to receive concrete or tile. If recess is to be filled with concrete or other cast material, the door is furnished with anchor clips and wire mesh. The door is equipped with a cast aluminum flush lifting handle, 316 stainless steel hold-open arm with a red vinyl grip that automatically keeps the cover in its open/upright position, and vertical open compression springs for a lift assist.

Frame: Extruded aluminum trough section with integral anchor flange on all four sides. The frame has a and 1 1/2” (38mm) threaded drain coupling. The surface area in contact with concrete shall have a bituminous paint coating.

Hardware: Continuous 316 stainless steel hinge that is flush with cover surface.

Security: A 316 stainless steel slam lock with the threaded plug, removable outside key and fixed inside the handle. The slam lock latches onto a 316 stainless steel striker plate that is bolted to the frame.

Finish: Aluminum cover and frame have a mill finish.

Installation: Installation shall be in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Warranty: Manufacturer shall guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ten years.
