Metacaulk Fire Rated Putty Sticks and Pads

Metacaulk® Intumescent Putty is a moldable non-curing one component fire-rated material for through penetrations firestop systems.  It will expand when heated, forming an insulating char. In the event of a fire, Metacaulk Putty will prevent the spread of flames, smoke, gas, and water through penetrations openings.

Metacaulk® Putty Sticks are used to seal around penetrating items through fire-rated walls, floors and within blank openings. For use with electrical cables, conduit, and metal pipes. Hand moldable with no curing time required. Will not dry out and can be re-used as additional penetrating items are removed or installed.

Metacaulk® Putty Pads are used to maintain the hourly rating of fire rated walls containing electrical outlet boxes and to reduce sound transmission. Only one pad thickness (1/8) inch is required for a 1 or 2-hour fire rating. No additional putty material is needed to plug the end of each electrical metallic tube or conduit at its connection to the box.
